Hi,
just a month to go until ASSEMBLY Summer 2008 starts. I hope your
entries are starting to shape up for what is going to be great party
once for the 17th time! We have a great luck with sponsors, so the total
prize amount this year is at least as much as last year (€39 000), if
not more (yeah, and I promise, no fingerprint scanners ;-)).
Anyway, we got a awesome lineup for the ARTtech seminars featuring
two hot movies: Stone's War (zombies in WWII!) and Iron Sky (nazis on
the moon!). Great stuff on programming/game development: 3 hour Cell
programming tutorial, mesh-based deformation, Crayon Physics and lots more.
The outreach work continues with Scenebooth in residence and two
seminars (Demoscene explained and Demoprogramming for Beginners). If you
need a bit more advanced stuff, check out Gargaj's XNA session too.
All the details (save for the schedule which will appear later) are
at: http://www.assembly.org/summer08/seminars/
Hope to see many of you at ASM!
