Hi!

Everyplay has gotten a rave response in private beta from game developers around the world, and we are gearing up towards full launch this fall.

I'm new here (first time to Assembly, and I just joined the list).
Where can I get more information about Boozembly? Things like: Where
is it? Is there any timetable (or people just go there in the
evening)? Can I buy alcohol there or should I bring it?

There's no timetable. Most activitity happens during the evenings though.

have given away some beer there (yay!). There are shops in Pasila (lidl, 
k-market, others too) and a Shell gas station at 60?12'40.21"N, 
24?55'54.07"E. You can get beer from these, but nothing stronger. The 
finnish alcohol monopoly ("Alko") has their shop in Pasila as well (open 
till 20.00 except in saturday till 18.00, address is Ratapihantie 3).

It is important to remember that you should NOT openly carry your alco 
near the party area (read: Hartwall arena surroundings) or you will get 
them confiscated by your friendly ASM security team. So use discretion (a 
closed backpack works) and you'll be fine. It goes without saying that you 
cannot bring your booze to the partyplace itself.

Finally, I strongly recommend moderation if you wish to gain entry back to 
the arena after visiting boozembly. Highly intoxicated sceners will get 
bounched.

But aren't the geocoordinates slightly off. Unless the boozembly has moved,
this should be slightly more accurate (from the partyplace, using the
tunnel to get through the rock, then towards the forest on the left):

Hi,

Joonas' map is correct. Do note that the tunnel closes at midnight (AFAIK), so then you need to re-route through Koskelantie or Pasilan Asema adding about 1km of walking.

Piru is also correct on party rules related things that everyone should note:
- no carrying of alcohol openly near the party place. 
- no bringing of alcohol into the party place. You'll lose it.
- severely intoxicated folks won't get in
- Assembly is in no way affiliated with Boozembly, which is completely disorganized :-). Speaking of which, where's the invtro??? =)

I'll hang around probably after the opening ceremony (say 19 o'clock) tonight in case anyone's up for meet & drink.

I suppose only thing you can buy from there is the official boozembly t-shirt (usually around 10eur). There's a limited edition being sold near the grill every year. Bring the stuff (beverages, food, water) by yourself. Don't get wasted, drink responsibly and especially if the weather is fine, remember to drink water every once in a while.

Ugh.
As a responsible parent these days, I probably can't attend the Boozembly (at least not for very long), which is a shame, since back in Assembly '92 I remember getting the unofficial 2nd place in it.
Anyhow, it's been 19-20 years since I've been to Assembly so if there's any of the old' old skoolers I used to party with (=get beaten at Hietsu by locals) - hit me with a mail (or them Batmudders from the old days) (teemu.lehtosalo at talentum.fi).

Rovio is organizing a developer sauna today Saturday at 17:00. If you 
wish to come, email ramine.darabiha at rovio.com - room for 10-15 persons 
so be quick. Drinks & snacks available =)

And yes, you need to have the event ticket to attend :-)
