[Oldskool] Demoscene program is up!

Hey sceners!

Assembly Summer 2019 starts in two weeks - the biggest Assembly in
history! We have packed great program for you, not just demos but
everything else related to computers.

If you didn’t get the email last time or just haven’t bought oldskool
tickets yet, now is a good time. This year we will provide a link, from
where you can purchase oldskool computer places and tickets. There is still
plenty of oldskool computer places left (we doubled amount of computer
places) and all computer places are 100 cm wide compared last year 80 cm.

Demoscene program

Demoscene program this year is bigger than ever. Scenelounge 3.0 has grown
bigger, we have new competitions and more activities for folks interested
in demos. All program and schedule can be found from website:

Scenelounge 3.0

Scene Lounge is an interactive place where you can surround yourself with
the awesomeness that is demoscene. You will find different activities on
various demoscene subjects, including demoshows, workshops and discussions
about the scene and things around the demo culture.

The third version of Scenelounge has more bigger area, more events and this
year you can also watch all democompetitions from Scenelounge aswell.

Demoscene is about community, doing and learning together. We welcome
everyone to make the demoscene a greater place!

Immersal augmented reality competition

Assembly and Immersal are arranging an Augmented Reality compo in
conjunction with our Real Wild democompo. Your task is to make a demo using
Immersal SDK, that will use Augmented Reality!

Immersal Augmented Reality competition is part of the Assembly Real Wild
competition and the prizes are paid separately on top of any possible other
prize from the Real Wild competition. You will participate to Immersal
competition automatically, if you use the SDK and submit your entry to
Assembly Real Wild competition.

Shader showdown: Live coding competition

Have you ever wanted to challenge your shader coding skills or code live
visuals on stage and be like a rock star? Now is your chance! Scene Lounge
presents Shader Showdown at Assembly Summer 2019! In the showdown two
coders battle each other in live coding. You’ve got 25 minutes to impress
the audience with your mad coding skills, while a DJ spins records for your
inspiration. Audience gets to see both shaders coming together live,
parallel and then choose the winner.

DJ Alkama at Friday night

The hit of the last year is back! Alkama plays live set on Scene Lounge at
Friday night after dance music competition. Wonderful visuals are provided
again by closedeyevisyals!

On Friday night, after compos, Alkama will land a live DJ set with
closedeyevisyals completing the experience with live visuals. We hope the
sound system will handle the load. If you like loud tech-house, don't miss
your chance!
