allow more than one demoscene place for each
”real” demoscener is quite problematic. Not
everyone in the scene hangs out with only other
sceners. We have friends and family too, people we
might want to sit next to when we go to Assembly.
And nowdays the demoscene tickets are not even the
cheapest computer place tickets of them all, so is
there really a problem if some of my not (yet)
demoscene qualified friends would come along with
me? It’s not about exploiting the cheap tickets
anymore. You could even rise the prices little if
you want. And put some more tables if needed. Or
is it about non-sceners/gamers ruining the
atmosphere, is that the problem? Remember how we
used to play or still do. It’s not a shame is it,
at least in Assembly? Or is it all about
encouraging people to participate in the compos to
get their own demoscene rights too, just to get
that demoscene place next time? Guess what, my
friends are not encouraged by this at all, not
really. They will just buy a normal visitor
ticket, if at all, and continue to be interested
about demoscene from far, perhaps a little bit
farther that before. So Assembly, please consider
changing this next year, if not this year.</div>
