ASSEMBLY Summer 2019 Dates and program information

The biggest computer festival in Finland will be held for the 28th time in
August, 1.-4.8.2019 (Thu-Sun) in the Messukeskus Convention Hall in
Helsinki. Event website is now open with information about the upcoming
summer event, go check out ticket and program info at www.assembly.org

This year biggest is becoming even bigger, as we will add 700 new computer
places. We have also reviewed our pricing and have added some new areas to
make the party even better!

Ticket sales for all starts 22.4.2019 at 19.00 Finnish time. Groups can
purchase day earlier on 21.4.2019 at 19.00 Finnish time.

HEADPHONES-ONLY AREA

We have heard your feedback. Headphones-only area is a quiet area separated
from the main area. You are only allowed to wear headphones, there will be
no speakers and no meme music in this area. If you are a pro player, you
definitely want to check this area out. There is no added cost for
placement in this area and there is an option to get Premium or standard
computer place.

FAMILY PLACES/AREA

Assembly is over 28 years old, so it’s no wonder that those who visited the
event for the first time now have a family with a next generation of
Assembly-goers.

We are introducing a new ticket type called Family Area. These tickets are
best fit for families who want to come to the event to play and enjoy
together. All family places are located at Headphones-only area, where you
can enjoy calm atmosphere and safe event.

Family places have no age limits, but we recommend that kids under 13 come
with parent(s) or older guardian.

Family place has 100 cm of space for computer or console and a 100 Mbit
internet connection.

Price for Family place is 105 euros, early bird 100 euros.

Premium place      110e / early bird 105e

Premium K22 place 115e / early bird 110e

Family place 105e / early bird 100e

Oldskool place      65 e

VIP LOUNGE pass 20 e - includes free coffee, snacks and access to the VIP
Lounge.

Weekend ticket / entry THU-SUN: 40€

Weekend ticket / entry FRI-SUN: 30€

Weekend ticket / entry SAT-SUN: 20€

Day ticket (THU or FRI): 15€

SAVONLINJA

Savonlinja and Assembly will organize rides from major cities to Assembly
and back. The rides will arrive to Assembly Summer 2019 on Thursday around
same time the event starts, and will return Sunday after prize ceremony.

Route 1: Jyväskylä – Heinola – Lahti

Route 2: Kuopio – Varkaus – Mikkeli - Kouvola

Route 3: Joensuu – Imatra – Lappeenranta – Kotka – Porvoo

Prices: 50 - 80 € depending on location

The transportation will be provided only on the condition that each bus
will have at least 25 passengers. In case of insufficient passengers, we
will reimburse you the cost of the bus ticket and, if necessary, your event
ticket.

ASSEMBLY PROGRAM

The definite program will be released closer to the event, but don’t worry,
we already have some information to share with you! Here are some
highlights:

Demoscene

Demoscene has always played a major part of Assembly Summer, and it won’t
change this year either! More information about demo competition rules and
participation will follow closer to the event.

Casual Tournaments

Once again casual tournaments will be held at Assembly for those who enjoy
more laid-back gaming. The confirmed casual tournaments so far are Counter
Strike: Global Offensive, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, Overwatch, League
of Legends, Hearthstone and the classic ice fishing simulator Pro Pilkki 2!

Summer event will also have two professional tournaments in CS:GO and
Overwatch. More info coming soon!

Cosplay

Cosplay is making a comeback at Assembly! Join in on the fun and come
compete or cheer for your favourite cosplays in the Assembly Costume
Competition, or wow the audience with a photo of a cosplay you collaborated
on! More info coming soon!

Other activities

Assembly has ton of content coming up! VR-Zone, Streamcorner, Game Jam,
Robowars, Machine Dance, Speedruns, Scene Lounge, Seminars, and many, many
more.
