ASSEMBLY SUMMER 2020

TAPAHTUMA SIIRRETÄÄN MYÖHEMMÄKSI SYKSYLLE KORONAN VUOKSI

ASSEMBLY SUMMER TAPAHTUMAN SIIRTO LOKAKUULLE

Olemme seuranneet tarkkaan koronatilannetta Suomessa ja vaikka tämän hetken
tietojen mukaan yleisötapahtumia saisikin pitää jo elokuussa, niin emme
usko, että kaikki rajoitteet kuitenkaan ovat poistuneet siihen mennessä.
Lisäksi haluamme tarjota mahdollisimman turvallisen tapahtuman niin
kävijöille kuin omalle henkilöstöllemme, joten päädyimme etsimään uutta
ajankohtaa kesäassyille.

Summer 2020 tapahtuman uudet päivämäärät ovat TO - SU 15.-18.10.2020 eli
viikko 42, Etelä-Suomen syysloman aika. Tapahtuman pituus ei muutu, mutta
tiloja on käytössämme vähemmän ja pystymme rakentamaan tapahtumaan noin
2000-2500 konepaikkaa. Tiloina on käytössä Winter-tapahtumista tutut 4-5
hallit sekä nukkumiseen 2 halli. Muu ohjelma pysyy pitkälti samanlaisena
kuin summereissa yleensä. Jotain muutoksia saattaa tulla ohjelmistoon,
koska tilaa ei ole käytössämme ihan yhtä paljoa.

Uskomme, että tehty ratkaisu on tässä tilanteessa kaikkein paras.
Koronatilanne ei muuta ensi vuoden Assemblyn päivämääriä, eli Winter 2021
pidetään edelleen viikolla 8 ja Summer 2021 omalla tutulla paikallaan
elokuun alussa 5.-8.8.2021.

MINULLA ON LIPPU, MITÄ TEEN?

Sinulla on muutama vaihtoehto ostetun lipun suhteen:

Vaihtoehto 1:

Saat rahasi takaisin lipusta lippu.fi kautta heidän palveluehtojensa
mukaisesti.

Vaihtoehto 2:

Lippusi tullaan siirtämään “uuteen” Summer 2020 tapahtumaan lokakuulle.
Konepaikat valitaan uusiksi, sillä tapahtuman paikkakarttaan tulee
muutoksia.

Vaihtoehto 3:

Voit siirtää lippusi myös ensi vuoden Winter 2021 tapahtumaan. Lippu.fi
tarjoaa sinulle lahjakortin, jonka voit käyttää kun lipunmyynti aukeaa.

Kaikkiin jo lipun ostaneisiin tullaan olemaan erikseen yhteydessä asian
tiimoilta tarkemmin parin viikon sisällä. Saat meiltä erilliset ohjeet
miten missäkin tapauksessa toimit. Mikäli valitset rahat takaisin
-vaihtoehdon, huomioithan, että tässä tilanteessa rahojen palautus saattaa
kestää normaalia pidempään, peruuntuneita tapahtumia on kesälle paljon.

LIPUNMYYNTI LOKAKUUN SUMMER 2020 TAPAHTUMAAN

Lipunmyynti on toistaiseksi päättynyt elokuun tapahtumaan. Meillä on
tavoite avata siirretyn tapahtuman lipunmyynti kesäkuun alkupuolella,
ilmoitamme tästä etukäteen kun se tapahtuu. Työstämme vielä
tapahtuma-alueen karttoja sekä tilojen käyttöä, joten tässä menee hetki.

Lipunmyynti siirrettyyn tapahtumaan tullaan avaamaan porrastetusti:

Ensimmäisenä paikkansa pääsevät valitsemaan ne, joilla on jo Summer 2020
lippu elokuun tapahtumaan ja he haluavat sen siirtää lokakuun tapahtumaan.

Toisessa vaiheessa lippuja voivat ostaa isommat ryhmät.

Kolmannessa vaiheessa lipunmyynti avautuu kaikille.


DEMOSCENE @ ASSEMBLY SUMMER

Demot ovat olleet tärkein osa Summer tapahtumaa ja siirto saattaa aiheuttaa
jotain muutoksia tapahtumamme sisältöön. Meille sopivia aikoja ei ole järin
saatavilla messukeskuksesta ja syyslomalla järjestetään legendaarinen TRSAC
demoparty viimeistä kertaa. Moni scenettäjä saattaa olla matkalla sinne.

ASSEMBLY SUMMER ONLINE!

Ja kyllä - olemme miettineet online tapahtuman järkkäämistä fyysisen
tapahtuman lisäksi! Se tapahtuisi alkuperäisen tapahtuman päivämäärien
mukaisesti. Demoja, pelaamista, pieniä turnauksia ja mukavaa online
yhdessäoloa - kuulostaa kivalta! Tästä kuitenki lisää myöhemmin, kun
suunnitelmat kehittyvät.

ASSEMBLY SUMMER 2020 POSTPONES TO OCTOBER

ASSEMBLY SUMMER EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED

We have followed the corona (COVID-19) situation in Finland and even though
it looks that we can have events in August,  we don’t think all the
restrictions will be removed by then. We are also committed to a safe event
for our participants and staff as well. Therefore we have made a decision
that we will reschedule Assembly Summer 2020 to be held on October.

The new dates for Summer 2020 are THU-SUN 15th Oct to 18th Oct. That's week
42, the time for fall break from schools in southern Finland. The length of
the event stays the same, but we don’t have as much space as originally, so
there can be changes to the original programme. The event will be held in
the same space as Winter events, halls 4-5, and sleeping in hall 2.

We firmly believe this is the best decision in this situation. Corona
doesn’t affect the dates of next year, so Winter 2021 will happen in
February and Summer 2021 in early August as normally.

I HAVE A TICKET, NOW WHAT?

If you have purchased your ticket, you have three choices:

Option 1:
You will get a refund for the ticket according to lippu.fi terms of service

Option 2:

Your ticket will be moved to the “new” Summer 2020 event. You need to
select your computer places again.

Option 3:

You can choose to receive a gift card for one of the next year’s Winter
2021.

We will contact all ticket buyers separately within two weeks for further
details. If you choose to get a refund of your ticket, please note that it
will take some time to get the refund on the way due to increased refund
volumes. Lots of cancellations in summer events.

TICKET SALES TO OCTOBER ASSEMBLY SUMMER 2020

We have ended the ticket sales for the August event. We are planning to
reopen the ticket sales when we get the maps in place, that would be in
early June. We will announce the dates for the ticket sales when we know
them.

There are three stages in the rescheduled event’s ticket sales:

First we allow people with existing Summer 2020 tickets, who wish to move
their ticket to the October event, to choose their places.

Second stage allows large groups to buy their tickets.

Third stage the ticket sales opens to everyone.


DEMOSCENE @ ASSEMBLY SUMMER

Demoscene is in the heart of Assembly Summer. We know that rescheduling the
event will affect the programme and especially the demoscene part. There
were not many options to choose from for the new dates and the best one we
had coincides with the legendary TRSAC demoparty - now held for the last
time. Many sceners might be going there. Do we get the entries? Will we get
the viewers? Our compocrew has made a small questionnaire for you to fill,

ASSEMBLY SUMMER ONLINE!

Yes, this is something we have been pondering. Since the event will be
postponed, maybe we should have an online event at the original dates? We
are working with our options and plans and will get back to you once we
have them set!
