ASSEMBLY SUMMER’21 FALL EDITION

Assembly Summer 2021 joka on suunniteltu pidettäväksi 21-24.10.2021
perutaan vallitsevan koronatilanteen ja tapahtumateollisuutta koskevien
rajoitusten vuoksi.

Assembly Summer 2021 scheduled for October 21-24, 2021 will be canceled due
to the current corona situation and restrictions regarding events in
Finland.

ASSEMBLY SUMMER’21 FALL EDITION

Vaikka koronatilanne on kehittynyt parempaan suuntaan, nykyiset
tapahtuma-alaa koskevat rajoitukset ja rajoitusten ennakoimattomuus tekevät
tapahtuman järjestämisestä vastuullisesti mahdotonta. Assemblyn ytimessä on
etenkin LAN-ympäristö ja BYOC-paikat jossa vietetään pitkiä aikoja yhdessä
samoissa sisätiloissa. Tietokonepaikkoja tapahtumassa on useita tuhansia,
vieraamme ovat pääosin nuoria, joiden rokotekattavuus ei ole arvioiden
mukaan lokakuussa vielä hyvällä tasolla.  Torstaista sunnuntaihin kestävä
tapahtuma on ollut auki 24 tuntia vuorokaudessa ja useat vieraamme myös
yöpyvät tapahtuman tiloissa. Tapahtuman vieraiden sekä henkilökuntamme
terveys on kuitenkin etusijalla sekä osallistuminen viruksen vastaiseen
taisteluun omalta osaltamme - emme halua ottaa riskiä, että tapahtumamme
olisi yksi covid-19 pesäkkeistä.



Tällä hetkellä koemme, että vielä ei ole aika perinteiselle
Assembly-kokemukselle vaan odotamme, että rajoitukset selkenevät ja myös
nuoret tapahtumakävijät ovat saavuttaneet riittävän rokotuskattavuuden.
Uskomme että vuonna 2022 voimme järjestää tapahtuman entisellään ja
turvallisin mielin.



Suunnitellut Demokilpailut, Casual-turnaukset sekä Opera Beyond-finaali
pyritään kuitenkin järjestämään loppuvuoden 2021 aikana, tästä kerromme
myöhemmin lisää infoa.



MINULLA ON LIPPU, MITÄ TEEN?



Vaihtoehto 1:

Sinun ei tarvitse tehdä mitään, jos pääset osallistumaan tapahtumaan
helmikuussa. Lippusi tullaan siirtämään suoraan Winter 2022 tapahtumaan,
joka pidetään Helsingin Messukeskuksessa 24-27.2.2022. Lisätiedot ja uudet
liput lähetetään sähköpostitse osoitteeseen, joka on ilmoitettu lipunoston
yhteydessä.



Vaihtoehto 2:

Voit pyytää palautusta lipuistasi ja saat rahasi takaisin palveluehtojen
mukaisesti.  Lisätiedot ja palautusohjeet lähetetään sähköpostitse

In English

We have been closely monitoring the corona situation in Finland and the
event restrictions that are in effect. Due to the nature of the Assembly
events (LAN, many people staying in the closed quarters for days, even
sleeping there) we have decided to cancel the Summer 2021 event in October.
We feel that this is the responsible way to go, to wait for the people to
get vaccinated and the virus situation to ease in Finland. Also the
demographic of our event - young people - does not support the decision to
organize such an event, since the vaccinations have just begun on that age
group.



Therefore we feel that it is not yet time for a physical event, the safety
of our visitors and volunteers must come first. We don’t want to create a
covid-19 melting pot when things are finally starting to look better.



We are looking for alternate ways to organize the demoscene competitions
and some casual esports tournaments and will get back to this later on.



I HAVE A TICKET, NOW WHAT?

Option 1:

You don’t have to do anything if you plan to attend the event in February.
Your ticket will be transferred directly to the Winter 2022 event on 24th
to 27th of February 2022. Additional information and new tickets will be
sent by e-mail to the address provided when purchasing the ticket.



Option 2:

You can request a refund for your tickets and get your money back according
to the terms of service. Additional information about the refund process
will be sent by e-mail to the address provided when purchasing the ticket.

The next event scheduled is Assembly Winter 2022 in February and of course,
Assembly Summer 2022 in early August - when Assembly turns 30 years of age!
Whee! Lots of celebrations will happen, much fun. We sincerely hope that
the world will be closer to normal by then.
