ASSEMBLY SUMMER 2018käynnistyy vajaan kolmen viikon päästä. Tässä
kirjeessä tulee paljon tietoa mitä assyilla tänä vuonna tapahtuu, mm
turnauksista ja ohjelmasta. Pitkä wall of text, mutta kannattaa lukea.
Mikäli sinulla ei ole vielä lippua tapahtumaan, voit käydä ostamassa
niitä Assemblyn Lippukaupasta <http://tickets.assembly.org>. K22-Premium
on loppuunmyyty, muita Premium paikkoja on vielä saatavilla
hajapaikkoina. Normaaleja tietokonepaikkoja on vielä saatavilla, mutta
tunnetusti viimeisen viikon aikaan isompia määriä vierekkäisiä paikkoja
on hankala saada - ole siis liikkeellä ajoissa (eli NYT), jos haluat
kavereillesi tietokonepaikat. Viikonlopun käyntilippuja ja päivälippuja
voit ostaa suoraan tapahtumapaikalta lipunmyynnistä.
Protip: mikäli et saa haluamaasi leveämpiä Premium paikkoja
kaveriporukallesi, niin voit ostaa ryhmällesi yhden tai kaksi extra
normaalia konepaikkaa ja yhdistää ne leveämmäksi kokonaisuudeksi kun
tulette tapahtumaan. Lisäksi sinulta jää viikonloppulippu tai kaksi
ylimääräistä kutsua kaverisi mukaan ilman konetta.

Assemblyn tulee tänä vuonna avaamaan eurooppa-, kulttuuri- ja
urheiluministeri Sampo Terho.
SUOMEN MESTARUUDET
Assemblyillä kilpaillaan tuttuun tapaan Suomen Mestaruuksista SC2,
Hearthstone, Overwatch, CS:GO ja iRacing peleissä. Lisäksi uutena
tulokkaana on Tetriksen SM skabat! Tule tapaamaan mm ENCEä, joka tulee
haastamaan viime vuoden mestarin Havun. Jatkuuko ENCEn hyvät näytöt
assyilla?

HARRASTELIJATURNAUKSET
BYOC tai casual turnaukset, miten kukin niitä haluaa nimittää, on
tapahtuman suola. Nämä turnaukset on suunnattu kaikille harrastajille,
jotka tuovat oman koneensa Assyille. Osallistuminen on ilmaista,
palkintopotti on kokonaisuudessaan n 10.000 euroa erilaisina
tavarapalkintoina yhteistyökumppaneiltamme! Turnauksia sponsoroi esim
MSI ja HP Omen.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - 2 erillistä turnausta
PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS

Ja viimeisimpänä meillä on ilo ja kunnia ilmoittaa, että järjestämme
Fortnite Battle Royale turnauksen yhteistyössä EPIC Gamesin kanssa!
Lisätietoja (palkinnot, turnausmoodit yms) tästä tulee hieman myöhemmin,
mutta Assyilla järjestetään pelin virallinen community turnaus. Yey!
Näihin turnauksiin voit osallistua vain omalta koneeltasi. Hearthstone
turnaukseen myös muilta laitteilta (eli et tarvitse konepaikkaa tähän).
CS:GO ja OW turnausten ratkaisevat pelit pelataan isolta stagelta, eli
finalistit pääsevät pelaamaan yleisön eteen!

MOBIILI ESPORT - ARENA OF VALOR& CLASH ROYALE
Pääyhteistyökumppanimme Oneplus tuo Assyille ison Arena of Valor
turnauksen, johon voi osallistua kuka vaan paikan päällä. Luvassa on
myös viime Winter tapahtumasta tuttuja lootcrateja, joista voitti
huikeita tuotepalkintoja. Voittajille luvassa mm uusia Oneplus 6
puhelimia, koko tiimille!

Tämä huikea pelimuoto on tuttu talviassyilta ja nyt tekee tuloaan
kesäassyille! Kuka pelaa nopeiten pelit läpi? Tiukkaakin tiumepaa
vääntöä ja sähäkkyyttä siis luvassa!

IS STREAMCORNER
Streamaajat ovat jo Assyjen vakio-ohjelmaa ja edelleen erinomaisen
suosittua viihdettä. Tule tapaamaan mielitubettajaasi tai parasta twitch
tähteä Assyille. Ohjelmaa on koko viikonlopuksi erillisellä IS
streamcorner alueella, mukana mm Eveaurora, nurmion, ninaonilo,
eeddspeaks, roponen, MrTuomo, Mustikka, Anniina, RosieRiver, Roarr,
dajoanna, XanoGames, aippa, Matte, Ulttis, TurunMarkku, JugiPelaa,
Milki, SHA77E, Vertigal ja Bambustania.

Retropelaaminen on noussut viime vuosina hitiksi ja Assyilta löytyy
retropelejä roppakaupalla - mukaanlukien paikallisia turnauksia.

VR-Zone on ollut assyilla pari vuotta ja voit myös tänä kesänä tulla
tutustumaan uusimpiin VR-peleihin sekä suomalaisiin VR kehittäjiin
Assyilla. Kokeilupisteitä on useampia ja lisäksi iltaisin järjestetään
mm Fright Night tyyppistä erikoisohjelmaa, jolloin pelaillaan vain
kauhuaiheisia VR-pelejä. Kuka uskaltaa ja kenellä menee vellit pöksyihin?

HATCH PARTY GAME COMPO
Assyjen gamedev on ollut aina huippumenestys ja parhaat uudet pelit
tulee tietty aina Assyilta. Tänä vuonna gamedev skabaan tulee
lisämaustetta, kun HATCH järjestää kanssamme lisäksi party game kisan,
jossa paras gamedev kilpailuun osallistuva moninpeli voittaa lisäpalkintoja.

GAMEJAM
Assyilla myös tehdään pelejä. GameJam järjestetään yhteistyössä IGDA
Finlandin kanssa ja tapahtuman aikana jammaajat tekevät erilaisia
prototyyppejä peleistä. Ideana on siis testailla ja kokeilla, ihan
pelattavaksi saakka. Voit käydä tutustumassa millaista pelien tekeminen
on ja jututtaa kehittäjiä Assyilla. Tervetuloa katsomaan GameJameja!

Puhhuh. Siinäpä tärkeimmät. Assyt ovat toki kaikkea tätä ohjelmaa,
elefanttimarsseja sun muuta - mutta myös muiden ihmisten tapaamista,
pelaamista, demoscene compoja ja peliturnauksia. Kaikkea siistiä siis

Welcome to Assembly!
ASSEMBLY SUMMER 2018 will start in just under three weeks. In this
letter you will receive a lot of information regarding what's going on
at the venue this year, eg tournaments and overall program. In case
you're still lacking a ticket, you can purchase one from the Assembly
Ticket Shop <http://tickets.assembly.org>. K22-Premium seats are sold
out, but there are still some scattered Premium seats left. Regular
computer places are still available, but as usual, during the last few
weeks it might be difficult to book multiple seats next to each other –
so please be on time, if you wish to sit next to your buddies. Single
entry and 1-day tickets are available for purchase at the venue from the
ticket sales booths. Protip: in case you didn't get the wider Premium
seats you and your pals wanted, you can purchase one or two extra seats
to your group and combine them into one wider entity when you arrive at
the venue. In addition, you will then have some extra tickets to invite
your friends in for a visit. At www.assembly.org you will find more

event will be kicked off this year by the Minister of European Affairs,
Culture and Sports, Mr Sampo Terho. FINNISH CHAMPIONSHIPSAs usual,
multiple Finnish Championship tournaments will be played at Assembly in
SC2, Hearthstone, Overwatch and iRacing. In addition we have the Finnish
Championships of Tetris as a newcomer! More info:

tournaments, whichever way you like to call them, are one of the
highlights of the event. These tournaments are directed towards casual
players, who bring their computers to Assembly. Participation is free of
charge, and the prize pool is in total worth of approx. 10 000€ in the
form of different hardware prizes from our partners and sponsors!

hosting a Fortnight Battle Royale tournament in cooperation with EPIC

in due course, but Assembly will host the official community tournament
in the game. You can participate these tournaments only from your own
computer. Hearthstone tournament can also be participated from other
devices (so you don't need a computer place for this). CS:GO and OW
tournament finals are held on the big stage, which means the finalists
get a chance to play in front of an audience!
